What is the event all about?

​

We have three main events happening on the weekend of 11th-12th October.

 

All weekend we will be screening a range of indie horror films from around the world. These range from short films to feature length films with Q&A sessions from the filmmakers themselves. The list of films will be listed closer to the time. Ticket options range from a simple 2 hour block, a full day of just screenings, convention alone or convention plus screenings!

Alongside the film festival we have 2 cracking halls of traders. There will be free photo opportunities along the way. We also have industry special makeup artists demonstrating their incredible talents. Also in attendance is the George A Romero Foundation demonstrating the wonderful work they do in carrying on the legacy of the horror master himself.

On the Saturday evening we will be holding our awesome horror fancy dress party with live music, hot buffet, film awards and DJ until late. (tickets and details to follow)

What can I expect at the convention?

​

Our focus is on offering a huge and varied range of vendors to suit everybody's taste in all things horror. We currently have a great range of vendors booked in from comics, books, artwork, horror masks, jewellery, steampunk, taxidermy with more booking every day. We are expecting to have at least 80 - 90 tables of horror goodness on show by October. We have Central Legion that will be walking round as some of your favourite horror characters and better still raising money for charity. 

Whilst under 18's are allowed into the convention they must be accompanied by an adult and be aware that there may be scary characters in costume walking about the halls, and images of a horror nature on some of the stalls.

 

Entry into the Horror Film Festival is 18+ as many of the films will have a strong horror, gore, theme with possible harsh language.
